PROVIDING FREE TRANSPORT WILL ENSURE EVERY CHILD IN THE VILLAGE HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO CONTINUE THEIR STUDIES TO AGE 16. |
There is no secondary school in the village. The government will not fund one as there are two high schools in neighbouring villages which are 3 and 5 miles away respectively.
The building of a primary school extension in 1993 funded by the Broach & Baroda Charitable Trust (pictured below) and funding of free private tuition for all primary grades has not only raised standards but also uptake of secondary education to 60%. |
