The original building was constructed over 100 years ago. The main tower and one side of the original structure remains but in 1993/4 the UK Association rebuilt the prayer hall (Jamat Khana). The funds were raised by the Association from Kothiwalas and other Muslims living in the United Kingdom.

The Trust that regulates the administration of the local village mosque is a registered charity in India.

Like many mosques in this part of Gujarat it has assets, which consist of land holding donated by members of the village.

It has to be administered in accordance with the local laws. The Trustees have an obligation to operate the affairs of the mosque in open and transparent fashion. They are required to have accounts audited annually and these are then filed with the local statutory body.
