Village Madrasah

The Maddrassa used to be housed within the complex of the old mosque but in 1995/6 Haji Ali Vika (Blackburn) collected funds in the United Kingdom to build a brand new building at his current location.

Whilst the Maddrassa and the mosque is managed by the same Committee its accounts are kept separate. A Committee administers the affairs of the Maddrassa and their responsibilities include employing religious teachers, setting the curriculum and maintaining the structure of the building.

The village Madrasah was built by Haji Ali Vika (Blackburn) a photograph of which would be found in the photograph gallery.

The current Committees are:-

The Maddrassa is wholly funded by income from its assets. These are land-holding donated by members of the village which are auctioned off for an income on an annual basis.
