Kothy Primary School

The primary school building was built with help from UK association in 1967. A second building was erected with the help of Bharuch & Baroda Charitable Trust ("Trust") based in the UK in 1993.

There are now approximately 275 pupils consisting of 7 classes. The school caters for children from 5 to 11 years of age. In recent past the school has improved its record and many of the children now move on to High Schools in the nearby villages of Kamboly and Tankaria.

The current head of the school is Hazrah Behn Abdullah.

Most of the teachers in the school are from outside the village and they are
• Nasir Banglawa • Imtiazbhai Diwan

The school is in its own grounds. Whilst the expense of running the school is funded by the state from time to time Kothiwalas settled in the UK and particularly the Trust does provide funding. In 2002 with the help of one member of Kothiwalas in London a water cooler was installed.

The school requires:-
1. A library 2. Computer equipment.
