Charitable Trust

BHARUCH & BARODA CHARITABLE TRUST
Registered Charity 1990  

The Trust was set up in 1990 and registered in the same year.

The object of the Charity are to carry out charitable projects within the Districts of Bharuch and Baroda in Gujarat. The Trust Deed enables the Charity to work alongside and in conjunction with other charitable organisations based in the UK and/or elsewhere.
As the Trust is a registered charity it is monitored by the Charity Commission. Under the United Kingdom legislation the Trustees have to prepare audited accounts and submit the same on an annual basis.

The Trust in its time it has carried out the following projects:-

1. Construction of 4-roomed building at the primary school in the village.

2. Construction of lavatories in the school complex.

3. Building of a boundary wall in the school complex.

4. Provision of a water well and electric pump in the school complex

5. Installation of water cooled generator.

6. Funding family weddings of the very poor.

7. Funding of education to able but poor students within the district.

8. Construction of homes.

The advantage to would-be donors in utilising the Trust to carry out charitable goals are many. For example the donor can obtain income tax relief in the UK on any donation made. In addition the Trust is able to claim back income tax relief at a base rate.
We would be very happy to work with and alongside any other charitable organisation for the benefit of communities in India.
